RepReel ("we," "us," or "our") operates the RepReel mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account using Apple Sign-In, we receive:

  • Your Apple ID identifier (a unique, app-specific token)
  • Your name (if you choose to share it)
  • Your email address (if you choose to share it, or an Apple relay email)

Profile & Fitness Data

During onboarding and app usage, you may provide:

  • Fitness goals, experience level, and workout preferences
  • Body measurements (height, weight) if voluntarily provided
  • Injury information and available equipment
  • Workout logs, exercise history, and progress data

Imported Content

When you import workout videos, we process:

  • Video URLs you provide (from YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, or other platforms)
  • Video metadata (title, creator name, thumbnail)
  • Extracted video frames for AI analysis (frames are processed and not permanently stored)

Device & Usage Data

  • Device type, operating system version, and timezone
  • Push notification tokens (Expo Push Token)
  • App usage analytics (screens viewed, features used)
  • Error and crash reports

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide the Service: Import and analyze workout videos, build personalized plans, track your progress, and deliver push notifications.
  • AI Analysis: We send extracted video frames to Google Gemini AI to identify exercises, form cues, and workout structure. This data is processed for analysis only and is not used to train AI models.
  • Improve the App: We use anonymized analytics to understand how features are used and to fix bugs.
  • Communications: Send workout reminders, progress updates, and important service notifications based on your preferences.
  • Subscription Management: Process and manage your subscription through RevenueCat.

3. Third-Party Services

We share data with the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

  • Convex — Backend database and server functions. Stores your account data, workouts, and plans.
  • Google Gemini API — AI workout analysis. Receives video frames and returns structured exercise data.
  • RevenueCat — Subscription and purchase management. Receives your anonymous user ID and purchase data.
  • PostHog — Product analytics and error tracking. Receives anonymized usage events and crash data.
  • Expo Push Notifications — Push notification delivery. Receives your device push token.

We do not sell your personal information to any third party.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. Workout data and plans remain available to you until you delete your account. Anonymized analytics data may be retained for up to 24 months for product improvement purposes.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted data transmission (TLS/HTTPS), secure authentication via Apple Sign-In, and access controls on our backend systems. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

6. Your Rights & Choices

  • Access & Export: You can view all your workout data, plans, and profile information within the App at any time.
  • Correction: You can update your profile and fitness information directly in the App.
  • Notification Preferences: You can control which notifications you receive in the App's notification settings.
  • Account Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data from the Profile tab in the App, or by visiting our Account Deletion page.
  • Data Deletion: Upon account deletion, all your personal data, workout history, plans, and logs are permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy

RepReel is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy in the App or on our website with an updated "Last updated" date.
